Our very own coach Slava is Star Ledger's Coach of
the Year for 2009.  Slava  has a Master's degree in
Physical Education and Psychology, an International
Class Master of Sports in Fencing. As a full time
fencer, he competed in 5 World Championships. He
was multiple times Soviet Union and Ukrainian
Champion. Slava earned a Gold medal at the World
University Games. He also has won the International
Tour-Vincents many years consecutively.

                          Maksim Zaitsev - Assistant Coach
Maksim Zaitsev has 23 years of fencing experience.
He started fencing at the age of 8 and he was a the
National Junior team he competed in numerous Head
and the Head Coach for all three weapons at the
Dana Hall School, Wellesley, Massachusetts and other
fencing clubs where he brought up many successful
University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Anastasia began fencing at 5 years old under the
coaching of her father Yakov Ferdman, the Israeli
National Coach.  A 2010 graduate of Penn State
University, Anastasia medaled in nearly every major
international competition and, in 2005, held the 4th
Recruited by Penn State, she was a 4 time regional 3
National Championship teams and won Individual
Honors in 2009.
